Scottsdale Arizona was established in 1910 and named after Major Winfield Scott. Well known for its Western memorabilia, Scottsdale is flooded with tourists every year and remains one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. The city of Scottsdale is uniquely divided into three subsections, the Old Town Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch, and North Scottsdale: subsections filled with establishments that aim to both educate and entertain every kind of tourist imaginable.
Besides being a prime place to plan a golf holiday, Scottsdale provides fine dining, shopping, and entertainment suitable to all tastes. Tourists will enjoy the fifth Avenue Art District in Old Town Scottsdale, and if visiting Old Town in the prime month for golfing, February, will find the Parada del Sol Parade a wonderful source of entertainment.

December and January are the coolest in Scottsdale, the average high temperature in both December and January is approximately 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Low temperature doesn't usually fall below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Thus, even in the winter session golfing is possible. Such temperatures make Scottsdale and ideal place for golfing year round!
The ultimate time for golfing is during February to May when temperatures are within the average comfort zone of 77 degrees. Summer season frequently promises peaks in temperature above 100 degrees.

In addition to all of the gorgeous golf facilities in Scottsdale, visitors can find a wealth of entertainment. Visitors to Scottsdale may enjoy seeing wildlife in their natural habitat by visiting the Out of Africa Wildlife Park. Alternatively, Scottsdale is also home to Frank Lloyd Taliesin West, the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, Rawhide 1880s Western Town, and the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. Better yet, visitors of Scottsdale may find the el Pedregral Festival Marketplace entertaining, or they can take the entire family to the Crackerjax Family Fun and Sports Park!
