Overview |
Spain is a land with something for every taste. With the towering Pyrenees mountains on one side of Spain, beautiful beaches along the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, a rich history, and over two hundred golf courses, your golf vacation in Spain will be both beautiful and relaxing. Spain's mild climate makes it a popular golf destination with a long and pleasant golf season. There are two main areas that are considered excellent golf destinations: Costa del Sol and La Manga. Both of these regions have beautiful golf resorts abound. Costa del Sol is sometimes referred to as "Costa del Golf," due to its sixty plus world class golf courses and resorts which all concentrate on a very small geographic area.

Weather

While the weather is almost always clear, during the summer months it can also get very hot in the afternoons. Average temperature ranges between 40-60°F in January and 65-85°F in July. During the hot summer months, it is best to plan for morning and evening tee times.

Walks, hiking trails and jeep excursions enable visitors to explore marshes and wetlands, coastal dunes, isolated mountain peaks and Atlantic beaches. Migrating birds watching national parks. Cromlechs and cave paintings from the prehistoric period, temples and aqueducts from the Roman occupation, Romanesque churches, Moorish baths, mosques and fortresses, medieval cathedrals and castles, Renaissance and Baroque palaces.
