Florida as a travel destination in general needs no introduction. This ever-green country for golf experiences an influx of golf tourism to its 100 golf courses 365 days a year. The climate of Florida is affected somewhat by its proximity to water and has a humid subtropical climate with the extreme tip of Florida bordering on a true tropical climate. The seasons in Florida are often called "Hot and Hotter" and they are actually determined more by precipitation than by differences in temperature. It's no wonder that Florida is called the "Sunshine State".
Weather
Florida is extremely hot and humid from June through August. Expect temperatures to exceed 90°F and humidity to hover near 100 percent. The most pleasant weather is usually found during winter months between December and March when temperatures are more likely around 75°F and humidity is much more bearable. Just when golf is no longer an option in the Northern states, a trip down to Florida is quite a temptation.
